March 7, 2009 ...  I only managed to get an hour in the shop today, so I devoted all of my time to doing a final clean-up of the wing using a Scotchbrite pad. While I buffed out the wig, I checked all of my rivets. Everything looks really good, so for now, I consider the wing to be complete.

March 14, 2009 ...  Time to start the wing stand. Most of my time today was spent gathering the materials. The wingstand I am building follows the same design as the one built by Sonex builder, Eric Witherspoon (Sonex  #815), with a few exceptions. My hope was to build a rack that would hold both wings, and the horizontal and vertical atabilizers.

March 16, 2009 ...  OOPS! I got the wing rack finished today but somehow I mis-measured and accidently built the rack about 4 inches too short. So I guess I won't be able to store my horizontal stabilizer on it as originally planned. 

March 21, 2009 ...  I spent the entire day cleaning and re-arranging my shop to accomodate the wing stand . I also covered the wing with white Contact Paper to seal and protect the surface. The photos show the wing placed on the wing stand.  Notice that I didn't get the straps quite highy enough, so I will have to remove a little material out of the gussets to provide better clearance 

March 24, 2009 ...  Today, I finally began assembly of the right wing!  This wing should not take nearly as long as the left wing. I have the main spar already built plus many of the other parts fabricated and alodined.
