November 13, 2007 ... I finished fitting the ribs and spacers today. The photos show the ribs Clecoed to the left spar.
Now for the lengthy process of taking everything apart, deburring, cleaning the ribs with Alumiprep, and alodining. This is really
starting to look like a wing now!

The spars are finally done! Let's go flying ... Okay, I admit it, I'm getting a little over eager!
By the way, this view is looking at the aft side of the spar.
November 5, 2007 ... I began fitting the ribs and rib spacers to the left spar. The outboard ribs (#6 thru 13)
go on rather quickly. Rib #5, aft rib (only) gets cutouts to fit around the spar caps. On ribs #1 thru 4, both forward and
aft ribs have required cutouts. I didn't use the drawing dimensions for this. I found it to be much more accurate to take a measurement
from the face of the spar web to the edge of the spar cap and add 1/16th of an inch. I then measured that from the outside of
the rib flange rather than the inside (as shown on the drawings). And be aware that the upper and lower cutout dimensions will differ.
Also, if you are building here's another tip. I used the gussets as a template for the angle (See Photo).
November 3, 2007 ... I mated up the spars using 1/4th inch bolts through the wing mount blocks. The spars
are officially completed! I'm really happy with the way these look and thrilled to have them done.
